Ready-Made Staircases in India
Fabricated in Our Workshop, Delivered Ready to Install
Most people searching for a ready-made staircase are trying to avoid one thing: a building site in the middle of their home for weeks. That is a reasonable thing to want, and it is close to how we work.
We do not sell staircases off a shelf. No manufacturer honestly can, because the one dimension that matters most changes in every building. What we do instead is build the staircase in our Malad workshop and deliver it as finished components, so the work that makes noise, dust and sparks happens at our address rather than yours.
What Ready-Made Actually Means
A staircase has to land exactly on your upper floor. A few millimetres out over a full flight and the top step is wrong, so a genuinely stock staircase would fit almost nobody. The part that can be standardised is the pattern, not the size.
So the useful question is not whether a staircase is ready-made, but how much of it is finished before it reaches you. In our case: nearly all of it.
What We Build to a Standard Pattern
These configurations are well-trodden. We have built them many times, the engineering is settled, and only the dimensions change from one to the next.
- Straight flights, single or with a landing.
- Spiral staircases, including compact ones for mezzanines and terrace access.
- L-shaped and U-shaped flights for corners and stairwells.
- Curved and helical flights, where the space allows.
- Cantilevered and floating flights, fixed to a structural wall.
- External galvanised steel stairs for terraces, fire escapes and rooftop access.
Materials follow the same logic: mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, tempered or laminated glass, and wood treads, alone or combined. See custom staircase solutions if your space needs something outside these patterns.
What Has to Be Made to Fit
Three things are always made to your building rather than to a catalogue.
- The total rise. Floor-to-floor height decides the number of steps and the height of each one. This is the number that makes stock staircases impossible.
- The opening. The hole in your upper floor sets the footprint and the headroom.
- The access route. Components have to reach the installation point, so door widths, passage widths and lift access all shape how the staircase is split up.
What Arrives on Site
Components arrive cut, welded, ground and coated. Site work is assembly, levelling, fixing and final checks rather than fabrication, which is why installation is measured in days and not weeks.
Handrail heights are set between 34 and 38 inches and balusters are spaced to child-safe gaps, on every staircase we build. If your building or society has stricter rules of its own, send them with your measurements and we will design to them.
If you are outside Mumbai, staircase delivery across India explains how transport and installation work at distance, including fabrication timelines.
How to Order One
Send these and you will get a real answer rather than a brochure:
- Floor-to-floor height, finished floor to finished floor.
- The size of the opening, or the space the staircase has to occupy.
- The pattern you have in mind, if you already know.
- Preferred material and finish.
- Photographs of the space, including the ceiling above.
- Whether an old staircase has to come out first.
We come back with a drawing. Nothing is cut until you have approved it.
Common Questions
Do you keep staircases in stock?
No, and neither does anyone who fits staircases properly. We keep the patterns, the materials and the workshop capacity. The dimensions come from your building.
Is a ready-made staircase weaker than one built on site?
The opposite, usually. Welding and coating done in a controlled workshop is more consistent than the same work done in a occupied house, and every joint is inspected before it leaves.
Can I get one delivered outside Maharashtra?
Yes. We have completed more than 1,000 projects across India from one workshop in Malad.
Can you replace an existing staircase?
Yes. Removal, replacement, refinishing and new railings on an existing flight are all normal work for us.
What does it cost?
It depends on the rise, the pattern, the material and the railing, so any number quoted without your measurements would be invented. Send the dimensions above and you will get a figure for your staircase.
See the Work, or Send Measurements
Look through completed projects to see spans, materials and finishes we have delivered, or send your measurements and we will come back with a drawing and a price.
